How do I take Daily Calm?

Take one capsule every day, with or without food. For best results, we recommend taking PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calmwith cold or warm drinks instead of hot drinks or acidic drinks as acid can damage the1714™ culture. For example with water, milk or plant-based milk alternativessuch as soya, almond or rice milks as these are less acidic than fruit juices.

If you find it difficult to swallow the capsule, the capsule can be opened and the contents dispensed and mixed into cold or warm (not hot) water, milk or food, and consumed straight away.

How quickly will Daily Calm take to work?

PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm begins working immediately. The specially selected 1714™ strain should reach your gut in peak condition within a few hours of taking PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm. During the first two weeks, PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm will begin to gently prime the gut where it is needed. When taken every day, you can expect to feel the full effects of PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm within four to eight weeks.

How long should I take Daily Calm?

The bacteria in PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm stay in your gut only for as long as you continue to take it. After that, they will be naturally swept out by bowel movements, which is why it is important to continue to take PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm every day to keep your gut primed.

Do I have to refrigerate Daily Calm?

Can I eat or drink when taking Daily Calm?

Fruit juices are generally acidic, and acid can damage the 1714™ culture in PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm making it less effective.We know from our research studies that the 1714™ strain survives the acidic environment of the stomach. However, we recommend that PrecisionBiotics^® Daily Calm is not taken with fruit juice as a precaution to ensure that the strain is entering the gastrointestinal tract in peak condition.

For best results, we recommend taking PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm with cold or warm (not hot) water, milk or plant-based milk alternatives, such as soya, almond or rice milks as these are less acidic than fruit juices.

Can I take Daily Calm with alcohol?

The Bifidobacterium longum1714™ strain in PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm, can be inactivated by alcohol.

We recommend not drinking alcohol for a few hours after taking PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm.

How much Vitamin B is in Daily Calm?

Per capsule, Daily Calm contains 1.4mg vitamin B6.

B vitamins are commonly added to foods and food supplements and are considered to be safe and well-tolerated.As a number of B vitamins are from an animal origin, it is common practice in the food industry to ‘synthesize’ these vitamins, to provide suitable alternatives to those unable to consume animal-based foods, such as vegetarians and vegans. The vitamin B6 vitamin found in PrecisionBiotics^® Daily Calm is a synthetic vitamin.

Can I take other supplements containing vit B6 or saffron extract when taking Daily Calm?

There are no known adverse interactions of PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm with other food supplements, including vitamin and mineral supplements. PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm contains Vitamin B6 and saffron extract, therefore if you are taking a supplement containing B vitamins or saffron extract, or if you have a medical condition, or any other questions about whether PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm is suitable for you, please consult your doctor.

During the first few weeks of taking PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm, as the bacteria begin to gently prime the gut, some people may experience mild and temporary changes in their gut.

Each capsule of PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm contains 30mg saffron extract which is equivalent to 150mg saffron stigma. Saffron extract is considered a traditional food, with saffron having a long history of safe consumption. The amount of saffron extract contained in PrecisionBiotics® Daily Calm falls within normal daily consumption patterns. The safety of the extract used has been tested in multiple clinical trials.
